    Location:
    Northeast Ohio
About Me I'm a 32 year old, out of the broom closet Witch and mom of two young children. I've been involved with the pagan community since 1992, but I've had an interest in mysticism and the occult for as long as I can remember, having had many experiences as a child. I am an initiate in the American Celtic Tradition of the Craft and I have a deep respect for the Gods, the Earth, and Her children. In addition to our coven, my husband, Taliesin, and I also facilitate a local Wiccan study group.
Music Some of my favorites are: Dead Can Dance, Tori Amos, Sarah McLaughlin, Santana, Loreena McKennitt, Ofra Haza, Raquy and the Cavemen, and any good middle-eastern belly dance music. I also like some of Opeth, The Gathering, Nightwish (although I'm a little tired of it, because a certain husband can't stop playing it!) and Godsmack, to mention a few others. I also enjoy listening to good pagan music and folk music. Oh yeah... did I mention drumming? Lots of drums and hand percussion!
Movies Most Sci-Fi and occult oriented films. I don't care much for the gory horror flicks, though. I like movies that make ya think. "What the Bleep" was pretty good and I also liked "Mindwalk", to mention a couple.
TV I find myself watching the Science channel and History International most often. I also like some of the shows on Comedy Central.
Books I really like Mists of Avalon (not the movie), Ellen Canon Reed's books, The Heart of Wicca, and The Witches' Qabala, and all of Doreen Valiente. I also like Dion Fortune and the Farrar's books, amongst others.
Likes Friendly people, honesty, cooperation, open-mindedness, respectfulness for the planet, caring and compassionate people.
Dislikes Mean people, dishonesty, ego-maniacs, two-faced behavior (which really is dishonesty), proselytizing, people quick to judge, the Bush administration.
Hobbies Camping, drumming, dancing, yoga, writing, reading, nature walks, swimming, coffee-drinking.
Vices Occasional lack of focus, memory-retention, don't function well in the morning, strong will.
Virtues Strong will, patience, open mindedness, compassion, and empathy.
Heroes Hmmm... I 'll have to think about this one.

    It's been a while!

    Hi there everyone,

For any of you actually stopping by my site... I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long, or had a chance to respond to messages or leave comments on anyone's page.  Since it's been so long, I thought I should at least post something new here. And I should probably say... "Happy Birthday" to all my Virgo friends out there!  We know and have so many Virgo friends (I happen to be married to one, as well as have a son and two cats that are Virgos!), that we host a big party for them every year!  Now... if there was only something for us Pisces!  Where are all the Pisces people!?!  I only know of a couple!  Anyhow, I wish you all well.  I'll try to stop by more often.

    Blessed Be!

    Happy Lughnasadh!

Thursday, August 2, 2007, 03:01 PM EST [General]

Well, we are back from Starwood and I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Lughnasadh! I know it's a day late, but I hope you all had a great day. We had a blast a Starwood!!! My favorite moments were getting to see Raquy and the Cavemen (an awesome middle-eastern musical group with lots of great percussion) perform in what they call the Didgedome... a wooden dome-like structure that was built for the more trancy fire circles and where the didgeridoo players can get together and actually hear each other over softer drumming than what is being played in the Roundhouse... another cool structure that was built for the fire circles... always a very intense place to visit at Starwood! If you're interested, you can check out the band's website at: http://www.raquyandthecavemen.com/ If you like drumming and/or dancing, you'll love their stuff! It was also great to see some of our old festival friends, and of course, we told everyone about covenspace. If any of you get a chance to check out Starwood... you most certainly should. I'll try to get some of my pictures posted soon. The Saturday night bonfire was the hottest one on record, I think, out of the past 27 years that Starwood has been happening. The funny thing is, when you see how large the fire was, you gotta wonder when they tell you that only half the wood was there due to one of the delivery trucks breaking down along the way! I'll post the pictures later! Again, I hope you all had a great Lughnasadh! Blessed Be!

    Starwoood... YAY!

Friday, July 6, 2007, 11:53 AM EST [General]

Well, I just found out that both Taliesin and I are going to be presenting at this year's Starwood Festival!  I've been attending the event since 1993, but this will be the first time I go as a presenter.  I'm very excited.  I was a little concerned with such late notice, but... YAY... we will definitely be there!  For those of you who have never been to a Starwood, I highly suggest checking it out!  It is the largest magickal festival that I know of and there are no words that can do it justice!  You can find more information at:  http://www.rosencomet.com/starwood/2007

Are any of you planning on attending?  If so, maybe we could plan a Covenspace meeting!?  Just a thought.

What's everyone doing this Full Moon?

Friday, June 29, 2007, 07:41 PM EST [General]

    Greetings everyone,

Tomorrow morning at 9:49am the moon will be waxing at its fullest! So what does everyone have planned this weekend?

My family and I have been planning on going camping this weekend. The weather is suppose to be beautiful and I look forward to the opportunity to do a full moon ritual under the night sky. We don't have much of a yard here in suburbia, and it's a street-facing side yard at that. Can we say NO PRIVACY! Anyhow, I hoping it turns out to be a great weekend and I hope all of you have a great one too!

    Blessed Be,  Willowe )0(
